Social Skills Groups
WaveMakers Pediatric Therapy is proud to offer engaging and supportive social skills groups designed to help children build meaningful relationships and develop confidence in social interactions. Our groups focus on fostering communication, collaboration, emotional regulation, problem-solving, perspective taking, sharing, and cooperative play skills within a fun, structured, and inclusive environment.
Through play-based and relationship-centered activities, children are supported in learning how to initiate interactions, maintain conversations, navigate peer relationships, work collaboratively with others, and develop flexible thinking skills. Groups are thoughtfully designed to encourage connection, build self-confidence, and create opportunities for children to practice social communication skills in meaningful and naturalistic ways.
Our social skills groups embrace a neurodiversity-affirming approach that honors each child’s unique communication style, personality, and strengths while helping them develop the tools needed to successfully participate across home, school, and community environments.
